Dungeon Stone Separate Wall Curved Floors
🕑 Added 2023-09-30 19:02:53 +0000 UTCThis release is where I'm trying out something new and experimental. First the normal details. This set has cut stone curved floors. It's got 2x radius floors (which is now represented as 2r instead of 2x). The floors are in eroded or block texture for the floors laid out in a grid. But there are also radial floors, where the floor tiles are laid out on a curve which will be easier to use for many maps. Those are only block texture as the old eroded texture really doesn't work out well with this modification. I'm including the 2r floor as well as a 4x radius floor that has a curved interior side to go with the new walls. Finally for the normal part, like all separate wall stuff, we include floors that fit the wall bases.
Now for the crazy bit. This makes the whole release also work for wall on tile. Floors are included that let you use any of the released curved walls as the walls for wall on tile tiles. The walls are a little thicker than standard wall on tile, but this makes the part sprawl SO much smaller, so if you, the patrons like this new approach, this is a path to being able to permanently combine wall on tile and separate wall. For me, just one big plain YES!!! I trim and mount all the tiles I prefer to use on MDF and size them to my laser cut trays. Way faster than clipping stuff together, so the above approach definitely works for me.

The initial melee area could be done with this set of tiles. Just need to build out.

I'm wondering how large of a radius can be done. 8"? A 16" diameter circle would make a perfect "UDT" - Ultimate Dungeon Terrain. If you're not familiar with the concept, "Dungeoncraft UDT" on Youtube should bring it right up. For traditional play, a big circle pit of death would be awesome! Normally for UDT, you'd have a 6" diameter center circle representing melee range, Then an additional 6" to 8" ring representing ranged combat and spells, the outer remainder is "out of range" basically in the next room, or out in the hallway or something. Characters and NPCs can move in or out one zone per round. Neat concept, and for those short of space, a great alternative to printing and setting up mega dungeons.
