Towne Long Plank Floors
🕑 Added 2025-02-28 17:00:20 +0000 UTCSince I'm doing some work in the towne tiles, I figured heard some people discussing that they prefer long planked tiles, where the wood runs 2 inches. It's still plenty easy to figure out where the squares are with this design (something I learned with city streets).
There is one impact, which is any odd inch tiles really don't work with this, so there's no 1x1, 2x1, 3x1, 3x3 or 4x1 in this set.

It's that the odd widths then make tesselation fairly problematic. I can obviously cut the pattern off, but then you need multiple versions of each 3x3 or 1x3 tile. Upshot is that it becomes a support headache.

Not sure why the odd widths can't work with this? I mean you won't have a perfect large grid of alternating wood floor planks but if you need a narrow piece it is probably because there is a wall in the way so that is where the pattern must end anyway.
