Starting to catch up on your reactions. Glad you had fun with this one. As others have cited, it's just that. To you inquiry of "why was the temple in Antarctica"? The (ridiculous) premise is that the PREDATORS gathered Aztecs, Egyptians and Cambodians all together in one place, Antarctic, and "trained" them to build the Antarctic Temple. They then took them back to Mexico, Africa and Asia so they could "build their own". Obviously, history and the calendar means nothing in this premise. It's essentially the kind of thing you make up when you're 10 years old and you don't understand world history. That being said, for a historical fiction premise, it's still kind of fun.

It’s a a dumb movie but it’s pretty fun. I like it a lot. Fair warning for the next AVP. Watch it in a very dark room with screen brightness tuned up. You’ll know what I mean when the movie starts.
