Knowing many goths, smoking is a must. Never will forget the smell of cloves.

I take your point, however I have read several transformation, downgrading stories and have disliked it when the "victim" is forced to start smoking, mainly for the health reasons, although I'm not an anti smoker, tattoos or piercings are more visible and potentially more shaming, just my opinion

That one is a really hard choice tbh. I'd love seeing tattoos on her, but picking up smoking would be a more drastic change in my opinion, because it is more "dirty", more rebellious and against her pure beliefs. So I think I'll choose the latter. ππΌπ€π»
