There is nothing wrong in not liking a character, but i feel like in a show as dated as Naruto in therms of female represetation you have to be critical about it and not give space for intolerant people. Sorry, english is not my fisrt language and i can't spress myself well, i just want to say that things are much better in the comunit now, in the past was so much worse, but i still fell that a part of the shonen public can be mysoginistic still. I remeber when i first got in Naruto, a lot of years ago, and pointed out some of my opinions in online comunits people would not even consider it because i was a girl or just would say "that's how the shonen works". I remeber liking Sakura because she was one of the first main female characters in this kind of anime that I had contact with. I can't say much now about her character for discusssion without spoilers, but I just want you guys to be critical about this issue in the anime and the comunit itself and not let the hate train take you.

Hearing that you wanna watch DBZ at some point sounds promising but you gotta remember something, watching DBZ without OG DragonBall is like watching Shippuden without OG Naruto. Just because a whole generation did it doesn't mean everyone has to repeat that mistake. You will have a way more emotional connection to certain characters, too. Making scenes that build upon OG stuff hit more

When it comes to fleshing out characters, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword. Anime like Naruto and One Piece do an excellent job of developing their characters, but the process can sometimes feel overly drawn out, even to the point of being boring. However, that slow pacing is often necessary for deeper character development. On the other hand, newer generation anime tend to have much tighter pacing, which keeps the story engaging but often comes at the cost of fully fleshing out characters and building strong emotional connections with them.

To be honest guys .. you gotta cherish long running anime like Naruto, one piece, bleach etc with hundreds of episodes bcuz honestly we probably won’t ever get another long running anime again … most will be formatted like demon slayer and jjk with 12 episode szn.. totally up to maybe 5 szns .. so the detail and random facts/back story u see in those long running anime will more than likely be a thing of the past

The biggest flaw in Naruto imo is that the writer is terrible at writing female characters, which he has admitted himself that it's challenging. So many of the female characters are useless cheerleaders of some dude

In the dub, when Kakashi is talking about Sakura’s chakra control and Naruto asks if she’s better than him, Kakashi’s response is “nooooooo you’re the greatest” and Naruto gets all pissy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 which is much funnier IMO Kakashi definitely sassier in the dub

this show has multiple versions with a entirely different script. some important emotional scenes have been literally "reanimated" with new voice lines. they even added gag "jokes" that weren't in the original show. instead of having an official remake like dbz kai, over the past 5 years they silently replaced the original version on all the streaming services.

hot take but i havent been able to get into jjk for the reasons rons mentioned too. ive honestly forced myself through the first season but cant seem to move forward because i dont feel any attachment to the characters at all. its a bit bland to me so its hard to watch. i prefer shows with intricate back stories and characters that make you interested to watch. with how hyped up jjk was by fans, i was so disappointed 😭
