Carl did change quite a bit. Because Rick changed his whole way of doing things, and pulled back on his own actions so severely and did the same with Carl to pull Carl away from being in that dark place he was in. He's still going to have attitude and issues, he's going to do all the things teens do even when growing up in the normal world, with the added pressure of the new world. What he's seen and been through, he will never, ever be a 'normal' totally well-adjusted kid or adult. Lol, we have to hope that we get the best we can out of him.

That was a response for us Carl a good son now: it’s all based on perspective of a zombie world. Rewatching I understand Carl a teeny bit better. When I was first watching , that kid was his mothers son in my eyes and I just wanted him to be seen and not heard lol

They’ve been able to readjust since they haven’t had any incidents or had to be on the run: a example of how things are when there isn’t any conflict. But in a world of chaos there’s no such thing as tru peace

Season 2 is when they started the mid-season finale (winter breaks). They would show Ep. 1-7 from End of October to the beginning of December and then pick up Episode 8-13 from end of Feb to the end of March, Season 3-9 all had 16 episode so it was from Episode 1-8 (first half of season), take like a 2-month break for winter, then Episode 9-16(second half of season) picks up end of Feb to the end of March. Then we have like a 7 month break for summer (that's when they would film the new seasons) from May-November. Season 10 had 22 episodes but 4 of the episodes was bonus Episodes because of covid or some shit at the time. Season 11 The Finale season had 24 episode, Season 10-11 filming got fucked up because of covid And Y'all probably seen Bob From the Adam Sandler movie "The Waterboy" or from a Tv series on HBO called "The Wire"
