Naruto OG movies have some cool fight scenes but you're going to like Shippuden more so go straight in to that I'd say. Shippuden movies on the other hand are awesome (not canon but awesome). This is when you should watch them to avoid spoilers; Movie 1 - after episode ~23 Movie 2 - after episode ~70 Movie 3 - after episode ~121 Movie 4 - after episode 169 Movie 5 - after episode ~221 Movie 6 - after episode 271 Be great for Ron to watch these too since they would be brand new.

I’ve watched all of the Naruto movies, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend watching them instead of the actual episodes. They take up a lot of time, and many of them can be quite boring. Maybe you can watch them later after finishing the series for more content.

Sakura was definitely set up to be a genjutsu specialist. During the bell test with Kakashi, she was hit hard with it. Then before joining the chunin exams, Iruka didn't think they were ready so when he tested them (pretended to kill sasuke again), she saw through his genjutsu IMMEDIATELY. And finally, when Orochimaru launched his attack with the Sand Village, she was among the few who didn't fall into the genjutsu sleep and released herself from it. Something only jonin did, like Kakashi and Might Guy. (And shikamaru although he kept pretending to sleep)

Ron please check out what people are saying, it's very important for a good timeline. You should start shippuden with episode 119 & 120 and from the last 2 episodes of OG Naruto there are only 6-7 minutes combined that you should watch. Love and respect!

I feel like Naruto movies rlly arent sth you miss out on. They arent much better than the average filler arc. Its not like DBZ with its peak non canon movies. The only somewhat non canon Naruto movie I can remember is Road to Ninja which itself is also pretty late in Shippuden. Back then maybe the Boruto movie but this got replaced with the Boruto show. Its fine if theres extra time but not rlly worth to drop episodes for
