Sailing South
🕑 Added 2016-08-16 19:35:43 +0000 UTC We just arrived in Newport, OR. We sailed south with friends and met with other sailers with whom we will keep on going south until we reach San Francisco next week. We're staying here for a few days, to wait out the storm by Cape Mendocino!

we didn't stop there but we heard it was pretty rough! We stopped further south in Newport :). The trip wasn't bad, we had both periods of high winds and other times we were completely becalmed. West coast is foggy and grey, bit depressing. But when the sun does come out you really do appreciate it :)

How was the trip down the coast? Did you have any issues at the Columbia River bar? The bar has some of the roughest seas on earth.
