When Recs are Right

I'm about to buckle down today and write my ghost romance (Amy and I are totally in our ghost era), and I've been thinking a lot about drama recommendations lately. I recently took a slight Kdrama break to watch Chief of War with my husband after Lia recommended it to me. And she absolutely nailed this recommendation, because that drama kicked all kinds of ass. Loved it. Jason Momoa ripping someone's tongue out and eating it was strangely cathartic to me.
Meanwhile I'm trying to sell Mask Girl hard to Lia, because I think she will love how absolutely messy, bonkers, and fucked up it is.
So what's a drama that someone recommended to you and they were absolutely right and you loved it? And adversely, was there a drama that someone recced to you thinking you'd like it and it was a total stinker for you? --Megan

Lots of people rec me stuff so mine is a recent one, but it’s not the only one I’ve loved - just one my tired brain remembers! Gavin Rec’d me both First Love and Yumi Cells and I loved both. A person who isn’t on the Patreon rec’d me the CDrama You Are My Glory, saying she’d rewatched it many times and it remains one of the dullest CDramas I’ve ever seen (though know others on here are fans) I also find Liliana from Tea and Soju Pod knows my CDrama tastes too so I often sense check with her before I commit to 30+ episodes. She said I’d love Prisoner of Beauty and I did!

Also, my eye doctor recommended The Glory and urged me to just get through the first episode. She was right.
