@grace long time listener, first time commenter: I’m an optometry student in Canada and thought it may be helpful for you to hear that some chemo drugs can cause dry eye! The less-eyelash-theory about tearing up at the breeze is definitely possible, but regardless you’d probably benefit from/enjoy the feeling of artificial tears (eye drops sold at any drug store). I’m sure you have 300 other body-related things to think about right now, including your busted forehead, but I wanted to contribute this lil piece of knowledge I have acquired. @mamrieandgrace Thanks for doing what you do!
omg thank you for the bit about birders! BOTH of my parents are birders (I'm doomed). My mom is super hardcore, she keeps a "life list" and everything. My dad does it in that "dad" way where he pretends he's not really into it but can often be found sitting silently in their backyard for ages waiting for a hummingbird to come by so he can photograph it. They're both traveling out of the country this summer SPECIFICALLY to go birding. It's both adorable and strange in a very specific way.
