Because setting a hot key and pressing isn't all you do as mod author suggest. You need the backpack equipped and to have a weapon equipped when you press the hot key you set.

i cannot get this mod to work for the life of me. i keep downloading it with mod manager but i cant get it to work. everytime i try saving the settings and loading the save with the settings it auto turns off the settings.

Thank you for your efforts. Beautiful work that has made Fallout 4 feel fresh again. That's a big deal considering I have probably played this game a bit everyday since it launched. Give or take. I should probably seek help for my addiction - not! Seriously though, all of your mods are mandatory in my load order for all playthroughs from now on. Well done!
