I send this message in case of someone can't install this mod. The installation is freakin' terrible haha; so I use FallUi and MCM, I put the folders 'Data' from "ammoUI by Tooun.v2024.4.20.Main" and "(Optional.Fall UI no need this)16x9 my DEF_HUD" in the fallout 4 folder in Steam. When you launch your game open MCM then FallUI and execute the layout DEF_HUD. After, enable ammo&weapon ui in MCM too (personnally I have everything to On). re-launch your game and the UI should be here. I hope it's gonna be okay for you (I'm French so sorry for the errors ;)

In the Google link I just downloaded the ammoui tab and copied it to Vortex and it worked for me. Don't know about the other downloads XM20 etc..

yeah this worked 1) Download and Install FallUI 2) Download and Install MCM 3) Download ammoUI and MANUALLY COPY/PASTE THE FILES INTO C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data 4) Go into your mod manager and make sure it scans and finds ammoUI was installed 5) you'll need to adjust the position of the mod as well as turn it on with MCM, here you'll have to play with it but I used: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/67958 6) go here C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt 7) if your mod manager loaded it correctly it'll already be there, but verify that *ammoUI_by_tooun.esl is there (probably at the top somewhere, if not make sure you add it 8) go to C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Fallout4Custom.ini and add: [archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= make sure this is underneath [display] ilocation y=whatever value 9) load up your game, give it a second, and it'll pop up

First of all pardon for my bad english for those who cannot get the mod to work right here's how i manage to make it work: 1. ya'll just download the ammoUi from the google drive and put everything in the fallout 4 main profile (ex: F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4) and overwrite if it does pop up, maybe if you guys just wanna enjoy the game then just get the DEF_HUD.xml file on google drive and paste it in the fallout main folder 2. since this is a manual installation then i think ya'll might need to click on the sort now on the top left corner in the vortex app to make to sort all the mod to make it right ( the ammoiu.esl pop up after i click on it so idk how bout u guys) 3. (im not quite sure but i did this before i done the second part but im gonna add this in anyway) Hit Window + R and type " %appdata% " and go back a page to be able to see Local folder and head to the "Fallout4" folder, and click on the " plugins.txt " then go to the very bottom and add this new line " *ammoUI_by_tooun.esl " then hit save and ya'll might need to head back to vortex app and do the same thing as step 2 so it can do it's magic 4. after all that just boot up the game with F4SE and load your own current save, head to the mod config and turn on what ever you want and head back to the main pause menu and save it (after i save i just walk around a bit to make sure before i go back to the main menu) 5. you guys might not be able to see it like me since the offset are all at 0 so you guys might need to edit your FallUi before the AmmoUi so you know where to put the AmmoUi at your desired position i'm pretty much a newbie at modding fallout 4 since i came back to this game after a while, hope yall dont have to suffer like me and other ppl :((

YOU'RE SAVER IS HERE, I FOUND IT OUT!! You need to have specifically F4se build 0.6.21, FallUI (I have 1.6beta), and MCM. Your load order should be, 1. FallUI 2. AmmoUI by tooun 3. MCM I tried just about everything before this, and this is what finally worked for me

I install the 16:9 def_ui.xml from the Google Drive download, but it doesn't show up the same - displays a different layout from the one pictured. I get the ammo ui and then the def_ui.xml looks entirely different.

I found if I made a hard save, then quit to the main menu and reload. it seemed to get it to work just fine. Hope this helps

Anyone else having an issue where this mod disables the ability to choose where to send followers home to? Edit: found a temp fix for anyone else having this issue- press esc or start to bring up the main menu to get the mouse to show up again

When i go into the mcm menu and turn the mod on aswell as the different icons, then save and reload it still says the icon options are off. Also the NVG animation isn't working for me.

It's a good mod. No issues with saving on my end, although I do have mods that force saving to be enabled during survival mode so that may be why. Either way, I do run into 1 issue, occasionally when engaged in dialogue I cannot click on any options and need to look to the side and open my pipboy to get the cursor back and continue dialogue.

I downloaded this mod and I have DEF_UI installed. But the in-game UI is still vanilla even if I turned the AmmoUI on in MCM. Tried saving and loading but it still does not workl.

i fixed it, the Ini file wasnt editing itself, so making a change in the MCM did nothing, i manually wrote the changes into the Ini file and all is well.

The "5 star" is an option (from killtips), and, u need to decide between"5 star" or "confirmed kill" (the 2 options cann´t be at same time). AmmoUI has a big problem, 1st, reinstall AmmoUI, 2nd, disable quicksave options, and then, save your game. That should repair all problems

No, only re install mod (replacing it), and then, TURN OFF QUICK SAVES (ALL OF THEM). Then save ur game manually and since that save, all should go okay.

That´s no the solution, u need to turn off quick saves. apparently, quick saves make conflicts and corrupts the mod (if mod corrupts, saving options will too)

In addition to @elephantoutrage's comment to disable AAF if applicable, quicksaving/quickloading seems to make the save issue persist- while regular saving is ok. This is assuming the game/mod is installed on SSD. Edit: Game appears to have to be running at 57-60 fps+ at the time of saving/loading to avoid the save issue (do not cap frames any less than 60). The NVG overlay seems to conflict with the gas mask overlay from Gas masks of the commonwealth 2287, expect to run into the save issue if using both overlays in tandem. Update: I think loading an auto-save will also stop functionality/ prevent saving.

this mod doesnt work for me at all, ive installed it all correctly, and AmmoUI as well as your Killtips dont work (Killtips kinda does, everything but the 5 star killtip (the entire reason for wanting it) and the AmmoUI doesnt show up or work at all. i found 1 person with this issue who never got an answer how to fix it, so im stuck. HUD Framework is loaded before FallUI, i have the compatability patch, im at a loss.

Had the same disabled/quick issue after loading a save, turns out by removing mods one by one ammoUI had a conflict with Advanced Animation Framework (i.e disabling AAF solved my problem). Hopefully that solves the problem but I haven't had a chance to run a long test.

The mod doesn't work for me. I have installed everything very carefully (the game and the save files are on two separate SSDs, the FPS is fixed at 57-60) and there are two problems: 1. When I reload the game the mod sometimes does not show up. 2. When I save the game once, I can no longer save the game, no matter what I do. I've done everything you've mentioned in IMPORTANT section.

spent two days trying to get this to work , witch it does , but can no longer save after loading , must quit to main menu to load , in order to keep option to save game, ether its broken or something up with a new update causing this issue but its not working now. Took off all other mods and found out it was the ammo UI , such a shame =/

I managed to find a way to coexist with the mod activated. And its by just simply turning it off from the MCM. You will not be able to see the UI display but it will allow you to still use the Night Vision goggles animations and i guess some other features but with the added benefit of still being able to save and load the game. BEWARE THAT THE MCM OPTIONS FOR AMMO UI EX DONT WORK SOMETIMES SO IT MAY TAKE A COUPLE OF TRIES SO THAT MCM REGISTERS IT AS TURNED OFF.

Unfortunately i also had the same problem. Thought it was better locational damage, so i disabled it. To my surprise the problem still persisted even after starting a new game. When i deactivated Ammo&Weapon UI expanded the problem got solved. Idk if there is a workaround but if someone finds one please post it here :D

Took a long time to troubleshoot but did not realize I had not installed F4SE completely. Did not realize that you had to replace the .exe's but ALSO had to install the scripts just like you would do a normal mod. Probably 4 days worth of troubleshooting total - mod is working perfect!!!!!

My game is pretty messy in general, so no problem if you can't help me, but attached are some screenshots from my game: https://imgur.com/a/4f9J9JL It's an album with just a few images. Only real problem I'm having with the mod (which I absolutely adore, by the way) is that instead of "10mm" for the 10mm pistol's caliber, etc, it shows [AmmoCaliber]. Same with the shotgun in another screenshot. Also included is a screenshot of LString Bow, but it stopped showing [You didn't take] and started showing [Wood Arrow] once I fast traveled, the other ammo (such as the Shotgun Shell or 10mm) didn't update, however.

if you save game and then load u cant save anymore and ui disappear, but if you save and then die and load from death screen, after loading everything will be ok and its works fine and you can save your game as usual. Each install step was done. Have f4 steam ver, russian lang

Does this Mod Requires something esle because all i have is the Life and AP Display on the Left side and no Ammo Display or Weapon Display EDIT: i fixed it, had to disable an enable the Mod in the MCM and now it works. Really Nice UI by the Way.
