You got the riff off a little wrong. They didn’t need to sing the word “sex”. In order to start your song, your first word has to match the last word of the ones currently singing. When Jesse was singing, he was singing “it” while Becca came in with “it’s”. That’s why they lost.

So how the Riff Off works: 1. They sing songs based off the category. 2. In order for another team to jump in and change the song, they have to match a word from the previous song to the new song. For example: “Ladies of the 80s” was “oh Mickey you’re so fine” and the second group jumps in on “so fine and you’re mine,” to “you make me feel like” and the third jumps in on “Like the one in me.” Becca lost because the lyrics Jesse was singing was “It feels like the very first time” but Becca said “It’s going down…” so “it” and “it’s” didn’t match.
