Its funny how the Princess is so surprised. Its true that she and Zoana have their differences. And of course with truths out and past actions have caused so much to happen, Zoana has a duty to fulfil. She has earned her place in the city but with that honor comes responsibility and if she is needed so desperatly that the Princess herself would swallow a great deal of her pride and risk her own being to come ask its more serious than ever. Its good that Zoana that is so quick to agree to it. She is committed and willing to help. To fulfill her vows and promise to the city that has accepted her. Perhaps this could help not only her but the Princess too. They both have much to redeem for and this can be the start of it.
