Artemis and Jam are in a relationship. Probably. I’m just planning to possibly recontextualize it. It kinda bothers me how there wasn’t much substance to it beyond Jam badgering Artemis into dating her....so now I’m wondering if I should lean into Jam’s sleazy side and have Artemis themself be yet another con, like perhaps Jam set her sights on Artie for status, maybe she thinks of Artie as just another spoiled Canterlot sucker, but the con blows up in her face when she catches genuine feelings. Then yadda yadda emotional fallout when Artemis realizes Jam is using them, likely breaking up, then Jam having to learn to be less of a scheming scammer and befriend Artie from a place of authenticity and regain their trust. Idk, I’m aware this storylines has problematic aspects and may make Jam too unlikeable. So I’m still brainstorming. Artie and Jam are still meant to be together, I just plan on giving their story a fresh coat of paint

I have an unrelated question about Jam. Are her and Artie in a long term relationship? There are a few of your characters that are in relationships and I was wondering if this is a cute relationship for the moment but it won’t work long term. I just wonder what Artie thinks of Jam conning people. BTW I love this character concept of Jam being a little thief

It really was cute! I mean the first couple seasons I feel were really aimed solely at little girls at the time, before the whole brony thing really kicked off, and there's a simpleness and innocence to them that went away with later seasons. I mean that's not totally a bad thing because some later episodes really were awesome (like Twilight's Kingdom) but yeah those first few seasons really were sweet
