have some gross ladies flirting, not especially related to the IAD storyline. I mentioned before that unicorns (especially those of nobility) find rivalry really, really, reallyyyy romantic, like the pinnacle of courtship. Thus Luna was smitten with Tempest the moment Tempest dropped her ass like a sack of potatoes during the Storm King's invasion. Luna's trying to impress Tempest here....I imagine they had a long, drawn-out courtship full of banter and sparring and tension thick enough to cut with a knife

I couldn't help but imagine a small scene based upon this new information regarding Luna and Tempest's courtship: Tempest looked down at the Heir of the Night, whilst Luna had noticed the animosity Artemis held against Tempest due to thier fledgling relationship, she had stressed that thier continued courtship wasn't contingent on Artemis' approval; however she would greatly appreciate it if Tempest would make sincere efforts to become friends with the tiny night alicorn. "Your Highness, your mother and I are going out for a spar, I was wondering if you would like to join us?" Artemis narrowed thier eyes at the Captain of the Guard, Tempest wondering if Luna had simillarly spoken to them about getting on with her. "We suppose that might be agreeable, Captain." The tiny alicorn responded primly, despite the less than enthusiastic response, Tempest couldn't help but smile. "Excellent! Let's head down to meet your mother! You'll need this-" Tempest hoofed a mace she had been carrying to the small royal, which to thier credit, Artemis managed to catch clumsily in thier hooves, looking only for a moment like a flustered pigeon. They turned to follow the retreating form of the Guard Captain, still clutching the slightly oversized weapon. "Why wouldst we need a mace at the spa!?"
