Pawberry Pups Reloaded
🕑 Added 2022-10-16 20:14:41 +0000 UTCThey've changed a lot since their original concept. Except Soup, a character I mostly nailed on the first try. >:3 Shadow, the eldest of the pups, isn't shown because he already got a spotlight here.
All the Pawberry pups are exactly the same age (29), but they insist on adhering to a dumb age-based hierarchy (even though they're only a few minutes older or younger than one another). Shadow is everyone's big brother, Summer insists she's the big sister and Skye is her bratty kid sister. Soup does not care. Snowball is technically the second youngest (and thus the "baby" brother), but the day any of his sibs try to lord their age/imaginary rank over him will be the day he cheerfully puts them in a strawberry barrel and kicks it down a hill.
As previously mentioned, Snowball is a double merle dog, which resulted in him being born deaf. Skye, and her entire family, are thus all very fluent in sign language. Snowball can speak, but mostly doesn't. His eyes are usually closed (think Brock from Pokemon), but he can see just fine. He's playful and surprisingly sarcastic, often teasing Shadow, Skye, and Summer, who often take themselves far too seriously, in his opinion. He and Soup are often together in the kitchen, with Snow baking fresh bread to pair with Soup's stews and soups. Soup is a supremely talented chef (and deeply beloved by the senior citizens at the nursing home they work at), and could probably successfully open a high-end restaurant, but prefers chilling in their dinky hometown, selling home-made strawberry pies at market and watching the leaves change color.

Reading back, I can picture Snowball signing the most absolutely rancid candid thing ever and everyone just pausing then laughing hysterically. Meanwhile [insert character here] is in the room and doesn't understand sign language or still learning it. [Insert character here] then asks what Snowball said and when told immediately blushes which proceeds the laughter to get kicked off again.

I would violently murder for each and every one of my country bumpkin puppers. I want gently hold them all Some humble hcsssss...... -Summer and Shadow having a particularly close relationship? Don't get Shadow wrong he loves all his sibby pack equally, but he and Summer have a lot to bond over with being a bit dissatisfied with their lot in life. Also will tease each other without mercy when one of them gets a crush on someone -Children of all and any kind ADORE Snowball. He is soft. He is BIG. He is friend shaped. He can punch a tree in half. He is the most interesting dog in the world. Someday when he has nieces and nephews they will all cling to him like baby possems at family gatherings. Life is good. -Snowball is hella fucking gay and proud of it? Will dye his beautiful white fur various flag colors during Pride month. -Snowball and Sunny are brothers from another mother. They have an entire friendship pawshake when he visits with Skye. (Snowball's enthusic welcoming of Skye's boyfriend makes how hard it is to win Shadow's approval all the more frustrating for Sunny. Darn just like me already >:/ )
