Strawberry introduced her largest pup to art initially as a way for him to learn to control his strength, but it ended up becoming a way for them to bond, as well as for Snowball to express his less than positive emotions, such as grief over losing his father Saint, or continuous frustration about a world that doesn’t always accommodate his Deafness. Eventually Snow grows up to be a ceramics teacher, and happily gifts his family with a never ending supply of paw-made mugs and pots every birthday and major/minor holiday. Nobody appreciates these gifts more than Soup. Soup and Snow are quite close, sharing a bond built on a similar, snarky sense of humor and a deep love of food. Soup has been largely nonverbal since childhood, and like Snowball, they communicate primarily through sign language.

Soup doesn’t “click” with their other family members to the same degree they do with Snowball, but Strawberry and the pups do still understand Soup and enjoy having them around. Soup is the most mature, and thus the one the other pups go to for advice. Soup is also really good at breaking up fights whenever Skye, Summer, and Shadow get to squabbling (Soup throws a wooden soup spoon at them).

Is Soup's dynamic with the rest of the family positive? Or do they really just connect with Snowball? Not necessarily negative, but the difference between family vs family and pal.

Soup was around 2 or 3, pretty much the second they learned to speak full sentences they insisted their name be Soup. They couldn't pick a favorite soup no more than a parent could pick their favorite child, to Soup ALL soups brim with potential! >:O Marnie is a talented fiber artist (knitting, crochet, etc), but crafts weren't valued in her formal art education experience, so she tries to stick to "standard" art forms- painting, drawing, etc.
