All of my family, myself included, like to (badly) retell the plots of movies, tv shows, and tiktoks as a means of making conversation, I’m convinced it’s one of the lesser-known, lamer love languages. Not show you the video, mind you- just recap what happened in it at length, like a wizened storyteller of olde explaining the plot of I Am Legend (2007)
Topher apparently likes Mal’s befuddled ramblings okay, even if he’s unwittingly become FAR more knowledgeable about esoteric internet drama than he’d like to be.
