Same! 99% of my art begins as a ballpoint pen doodle in a cheap composition notebook. I get intimidated drawing with pencils on plain white drawing paper, I feel too much pressure to keep sketchbook drawings tidy and presentable. Notebook doodles make me feel relaxed, like I'm a kid again doodling in homeroom. I remember doodling Pandora for the first time in the margins of my college spanish class notebook (probably should've been paying attention but oh well)
