I loved seeing Clara’s PoV and the complexity of her feelings. I totally get why she feels so guilty, you do such a good job writing all her inner thoughts and feelings! I can’t wait for her later thoughts on Lena/MC and her for the poly route 🤭

I might add that I am curious how Clara would react to an MC that is deceptive with her only (out of petty revenge for Richard) while being an actually good ruler to Rhivenians.

Clara is torn between her guilt and her love for the MC. Not only can she not return Richard’s feelings, but she also loves his brother/sister. She knows her feelings could cause trouble within the family, so she struggles with a deep inner conflict while also feeling empathy for Richard. So, she compares the feelings that both of them evoke in her and comes to realize that her feelings for the MC are real and genuine, while everything she feels for Richard is pure friendship. Keep in mind that Clara is only 14 years old in this scene and everything is almost new to her. She’s figuring out her feelings by comparing them. It’s completely understandable if you don’t like her after reading the POV. That’s just who she is as a character, and you don’t have to like her! Thanks so much for sharing your opinion! :)

So, a pretty good POV, but I didn't like how Clara's and MC's love is contrasted with Richard. It feels vindictive and in poor taste, this line especially "It is beautiful, and unlike anything Richard has ever given her." I liked Clara before her POV. After her POV I feel like there's bitterness and pettiness from Clara to Richard that stops me from liking her. She is so focused on how Richard is unlike the MC that she can't let go of it in the middle of a romantic moment. From what we know of Richard and Clara's relationship so far, it feels unjustified and it makes me protective of Richard. As a brother to my sister, if I had known that someone, who my sister had feelings for, had treated her like this, I would have beaten them black and blue. What I want to say is that I don't like Clara after this POV drop.

Oh, a new POV. I read your Tumblr, and was expecting a sneak peek, lol. Very happy to have a Clara POV. Never expected to be romancing her in this rewrite, if younger me playing the old story could see me now. But I am loving her! Hyped for Nicholas's POV next!
