This was the perfect way to end my Christmas Day! We just finished dinner, all 4 of my kiddos together for the last time for a while, and it’s been a magic day. The sadness of them leaving comes in waves, and I have been wearing a mask, so thanks for the reminder to take it off. There’s a beautiful song by the Irish singer Moylan called “Winter.” In it she sings “I’ve worn so many smiles these past few weeks I don’t know which one’s mine anymore.” We do tend to do that to ourselves. A wise friend told me it’s ok to show the sadness and still be proud. So, mask off! Thank you for this beautiful gift! Hope you are getting to see your family amidst all of this.
