Yes, I would prefer the Facebook Messenger over Telegram, which is also encrypted like WhatsApp now. End to end encryption is a bare minimum. Also, I am not saying you have to leave Telegram, if you understand that it is not private and don't use it for private chats. Use it a social media if you must. That's all really. Although I understand it's hard to make people switch to Signal with you when you are also on that other messenger they all primarily use.

Say Whatsapp and Telegram are the only two viable options, would you use Whatsapp instead? I'm slowly getting contacts to use Signal, but stuck with that and tgram The thing to avoid here being part of a social graph
