So I wrote my own video editor...

For the most part I've kept it on the down low because there (naturally) tends to be a lot of skepticism around a project like this (and in general I prefer to "underpromise and overdeliver"), but seeing as this Patreon is all about taking you guys on journeys with me, I figured we may as well get started on this one!

I'm usually against using entire game engines or frameworks in cases where it could introduce bloat, but I agree it's the right call if Olive is ever to be as flexible as Resolve for example (or Blender, but I guess most people don't think of that as a video editor).

I remember downloading Olive years ago and using it for very small simple edits just because of how quick it started up and I'm excited to see that you're still working on it.
