Make A Game Like Pokemon in Unity | #129 - Double Battles I
🕑 Added 2024-11-29 13:37:38 +0000 UTCHey everyone, In this video, we'll refactor the architecture of our battle system to support battles with multiple units, and in the next video, we'll implement Double Battles using our new architecture.
I’ve covered Double Battles in previous tutorials, but that was before we switched to the state stack architecture. Since the old approach isn’t compatible with our current setup, I’m redoing it to fit seamlessly with the new state stack architecture.

You should be able achieve it by adding more units in the Battle System component. You don't have to change the code.

Hello, a question, if I wanted to make my team have 4 allies, would I have to modify the script, or in Unity in the BattleSystem component, add more allies in player units and that's it?

Yes, I'm aware of it. I'll probably do tutorial for it in the future if there is enough interest.

I don't know if you are aware but some of the Pokemon games do in fact have wild multi-battle encounters. Starting with the Gen 5 games you had wild double battles. Then later you had horde battles with 5 wild Pokemon attacking at once. Then you had SOS battle where a wild Pokemon can call for backup.

What issues do you face with the video player?

I was wondering when you were going to do this. I really hate Patreon's video player as I always have issues with it.
