I stumbled upon this place the other day when out walking.

Very interesting since seeing this chateau yesterday on Ryan's channel. How cool would it be if your family buys it?
I understand why these buildings are left to rot, but fail to understand why these absentee owners don't sell or sign away their ownership to someone who would want the building? If the roof fails, after 10-20 years, the building is worthless. I find it so wasteful.

Very Interesting. I was wondering if you know anything about chateau de Levis. We are pretty sure it is part of our family history. My maiden name and french heritage being the same. My grandfather was contacted many years ago if he might be a legitimate family owner but he thought money and back taxes would be far beyond his means and therefore it went no further. Our understanding is that it is owned by an English man but has been left to rot. After seeing this video, I canβt help but think what a shame. I live in Canada and have visited France only a few times. Came close to visiting the chateau but sadly did not. Its always interesting to realize we all are connected. Many years pass between but still there is a connection. Hugs Michael and glad to see you happy. π€
