I wonder if Alex's been reading the discussions going on in the reply threads... *banhammer in 3...2...1...* 🤣👍

So they mate like octopi? Or (sort of) schizogamatic polychaetes? That's weird and cool.
I used to misinterpret all limbs as being basically identical.
It does beg the question though, to what degree do birrin treat mating as recreational? It's possible that outside specific, rare mating ceremonies (which are taken very seriously), it just doesn't play a large role in culture.

They might use base 4 - four eyes.

Never thought to ask, but do the Birrin use base 6 or base 12 for their numbering systems?

Claws on cats are only "visible" when they come out of the fur, but they are not exactly retractable.they just twist out of the fur, if you touch a cat you can still feel the whole shape of the digit and the claw under the fur. This looks more like something that is actually retractable for real, since it comes out of the skin.

Dammit! I knew you would eventually descend into lewds. That's it! I'm leaving! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Okay, sorry, had to do the joke. The concepts are very interesting though.

Claws are similar to claws on cats. I can guess either deploying either on command or when going into a tense state.
