These are amazing. What I love most is how "exotically mundane" the scene is. It's a scene of regular people out at the beach or fishing.... except they're aliens. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Aye: I rely very heavily on flat perspective so hope to mix it up with the book.

Interesting high perspective in the paintings showing the characters. As far as I'm concerned, using high perspective in paintings showing the charcters in the surroundings actually works better than merely using lower perspective, because with the former you can more clearly see what they are seeing.
