Top Gear admitted to modifying the Robin to tip, you can read up on it. Going to three wheels is indeed just to make it lighter.

I see you made the rear axel wider to midigate the risk of a roll over when turning. If it didn't have that it would roll over as easily as a Reliant Robin.
