As much as I love tears and intimate hugging, I don't think powers' barriers have broken down just enough for her to accept a loving embrace from a demon. So instead, I wanted the scene to feel more dialogue driven while you watch the gears in powers' head slowly turn, her struggling with her own feelings and trauma.
I think this is a lot better.

This is pretty good. Actually more fitting for someone like Powers (I thought the hug was cute though but I guess we were pushing them to get along too soon)

Will also miss the hug ending but this ending this one definitely builds more character for them both
