The guy who set Shame up is played by Charles S. Dutton. You might remember him from Menace To Society as the father of the guy who became a Muslim. Believe it or not he actually served 15 years in prison for manslaughter. He even managed to get his degree from Yale University while he was locked down. Apparently he was a real life bad MF. He says he finished something that someone else started and he went too far. Proof that anyone can turn their life around if they truly wish to.

Okay so I loved this movie when I was younger & watched it a bunch of times but I can definitely understand it just being alright..lol you kinda had to be in that time..alot of jokes you would never get being in your 20's...doesn't hold up that great in 2024...but i did love it back then.
