Yes Jae was quick on that. Ive watched every single reactor to The Wire, and 99% of them always gets confused about Michael in the beginning. The first reactor who reacted to it on utube tried to assume maybe Cutty was a sexual predator! lol smh

It's funny because every reactor I seen do the Wire always misses this part, but to be fair, it was from two seasons ago, so it's hard to remember how the conversation event started and went. We watched it mad times, so it's easier for us to pick up on it.

Another dope reaction. I will say Jae, think of the Wire as a story about Baltimore and not individuals. So there are really no side stories, because they all interact with each other. And Amanda, the case Greggs has is the Braddock case. It's the case of witness they found dead. Royce asked Burrell to slow it down so they can't solve it before the election, just in case he did get killed due to being a witness, which would look bad on Royce since witnesses keep getting killed in Baltimore.

Another example of Marlo wanting others to not hear of anyone's street rep ringing out more than his was when Old Face Andre came in the rim shop hyping up how Omar gets down and comparing Omar's moves to terrorists, Marlo felt the need to dismiss it and instead chump Andre by taking his ring from him .

Another difference from Marlo and Avon y'all may have missed. In season 1 after the basketball game, Avon chews the ref out for being scary and not standing up for himself when he pressed him. When the security guard stood up for himself against Marlo, Marlo had him unalived for challenging him and because he had to reassert his dominance after getting played at the card game showing how different and ruthless the new generation is with Marlo taking over

I think the homicide case they put Kima on is the dead witness that Carcetti brought up to use again Mayor Royce. Royce don’t want the case solved & a big thing while the election is going on. So Police Commissioner Burrell took it off the vet detective & had them give it to a rookie. But little do they know Kima is nice with her shit.

Avon was old school, he kept the Sunday morning truce, he was cool with Cutty getting out the game, there was at-least some sort of code & ethics to how he carried things. Marlo represent the new school, he’s all about the power & being notorious. He’ll extremely cold blooded. He had them murder the security guard just for talking back a little.
