It's funny y'all say it seems like these episodes all feel just build ups to the final episodes, but that's literally every season LOL. The beauty of the show is all about the writing and developing the storylines and how they all interconnect, mostly without the characters even realizing. They write it so everything connects at the end. Other shows just rely on cliffhangers and mindless action.

No one to protect him. That’s why he is desperate enough to “owe” Marlo. Remember Bodie is basically a child. He can’t help him either.

Michael doesn't really know Bodie like that. Not enough to ask him to kill or assault someone for him, at least. He just worked as a runner for him for a few days to get enough money for school clothes. Chris actually came to Michael, gave him a bunch of money and promised to take care of his situation if he needed anything. And Michael knows Chris as the dude that can make anyone disappear without a trace.
