So let's discuss patreon and project details, as well as some personal life stuff now that its 2025:
First of all, apologies for not uploading the speedpaint for November, it was on my schedule but it seemed to slip my mind. It'll be worked on alongside the December speedpaint
High Res, CSP and PSD downloads will be a little delayed as I'm out of the country and the internet over here is less than stellar.
Now let's discuss the good stuff:
"Monsters and Girls" Show
Still working on the show, things are at a standstill right now since its the holiday season but I'm aiming to start production soon. Hopefully in the spring or summer. If things go well, I can see Monsters and Girls (which will be renamed to something else) have 3-5 seasons. Unlike the super simple and short webcomic, I want the show to be a little more action oriented while still keeping that episodic, slice of life elements. Sera and Lili's origin story will be different but I think a lot more fun. I'm super proud of the pilot script, and I can't wait to see people's thoughts (hopefully I won't end up with multiple "monsters and girls is garbage and here's why" videos HAHA). With the current state of fandoms I have admittedly thought about hiding away from my social media and only using it for promotion and being more active in my discord server, but only time will tell I guess. I'm appreciative to my audience but I know some people can feel a bit... uh.... entitled to me (gestures to the mess that happened on my NSFW). I really want the show to do well, my goal is for it to get one million as a minimum, and ten million as more of an idealized goal. I've been told my series is popular enough where it could be very successful but i always try to be a realist (and a cynic) so if the pilot somehow makes it out with 200,000 views after a month, it'll be a bummer but at least I know I tried my best.
I have a pretty stable income with patreon and my hope is that if people support me through my patreon and merchandising that I can give more to my team. Indie projects typically pay less than big expensive companies for one very obvious reason, but my mentality is that if I have the funds to pay them more, I want to pay my team more, at least after the pilot. I don't want to just hoard the money for myself. I'd rather live comfortably, not lavishly.
You may have noticed I've been redesigning a lot of my characters, and while I did state on my twitter it was to better fit their characters, I also did it for the show as well to fit their positions and roles in the story. Except powers, she's gonna need ANOTHER armor redesign since she starts off in a different position in the show. Lili remains the only one untampered with, I guess she's just created perfect!.... I might shorten her hair a bit though.
Other than support, i would ask people to avoid giving away spoilers and I just want my fandom to be normal and nice. If the show is successful it probably won't happen as big fandoms tend to get out of hand but I dont want my fans doxxing people because they redesigned a character or criticized the show.
Visuals wise I'm not really aiming for incredibly smooth animation, I prefer shows with strong posing. Anything like Trigger or Flying Bark really. I'm hoping for a funky, 80s soundtrack but with some RnB as well. The show overall has a monster of the week vibe, with a bit of lesbians throughout. It'll also be fun exploring things I never got a chance to explore in the comic because it ends up being too long.
NSFW Account
Honestly, I've been of two minds about my nsfw twitter and doing nsfw in general. the contrast between how people treat me on my NSFW vs my SFW is just. I dont know lol. That whole mess that happened months ago where a bunch of people, including my own followers, dogpiled, harassed and demeaned me for setting boundaries really does disgust me to this day. Honestly some of you haven't even seen the wildly disrespectful and inappropriate dms I got on my patreon where people were directly insulting me there as well. That really shifts your perspective on your work lol. It also just kind of baffles me that this is what the NSFW art space prioritizes. being a predator? a bigot? an incel? eh, who cares. telling someone not to reply with emojis? yeah man let's just bully an autistic person into suicidal ideation (something they were fully aware they were doing given that the person who started this mess flat out said they wanted to HARASS me into apologizing for a nothingburger) and then get mad when they're not okay with our morally abusive behavior and call them entitled instead. Just, ugh, what the fuck man.
Admittedly I think if this was any other day I'd just be annoyed but considering that I nearly had my reputation ruined because some annoying teenager was mad that i have a bunch of female characters with big chests and curves, it felt very dehumanizing dealing with people just trying to cause emotional and financial harm for no reason other than just because??? I was lucky enough where I came out of the discourse mostly unscathed but mentally I was in a fragile state and that second harassment campaign didn't help in the slightest. Honestly it just feels like queer artists in general are hold at such a bizarre standard to a point where it starts to feel incomprehensible what people even want anymore. It did however made me realize that I really need to back away from the internet more. I'm at a point where I have to understand that I will be attacked and dehumanized for anything, so its best to just avoid engaging with people hence uh... (gestures to my above comment about going offline when the show starts), which is a shame because i really do love engaging with my followers (positive or negative, just stop talking to people, at least on twitter) and even the random strangers online but man, some people are just too comfortable behind a computer LOL.
(EDIT: should've clarified, I mean my nsfw twitter. I will be less interactive on my main twitter as well but im fully cutting off my interactions on my nsfw)
...However, I'll continue nsfw comics because I enjoy this art. There's gotta be someone out there that draws hornet fucking someone she isnt biologically related to. That said, these comics take a lot of time compared to the past (it used to take me 2 days to finish a nsfw comic, now its 4-6) so I'm going to avoid trying to rush them out and post them at my own pace. I originally tried to make a back burner but I went through it fast lol. Now instead of monthly I'm going to try to aim to post them publicly once every other month (or every two months). But that's also not a guarantee, now with the show being worked on and twitter just fucking over nsfw accounts even more making it harder to be seen, it's sort of low on my priority list. I have a bunch of roughs finished though so they should be in the sketching process once I come back from Nigeria and I WILL finish that Sera and Lili comic.
Patreon Update
NONE.... kinda. I try to avoid making too many frantic changes to the patreon since I know a lot of people would feel more comfortable with the consistency, but since my show is being worked on I can imagine more benefits being added to tiers such as previews, character sheets, etc. I am also contemplating adding new tiers, since patreon finally added the option to batch edit posts. Although it seems a bit imperfect, so I may either manually edit them myself or get someone else to do it.
I've been thinking about doing polls for potential NSFW comics since I genuinely have 100+ unfinished comic ideas thanks to constantly pushing them back for the past 3 years, but I don't want to risk burn out aka the reason why i stopped doing nsfw polls in the past (even if I'm the one choosing what can be voted for), but you can let me know what you think!

I used to draw an post stuff a lot before. Now I don't really post art anywhere and I have not done so for 4 years and it's nice. A good change of pace. My advice is that you draw because you like drawing. Draw because YOU enjoy it. Do not try to satisfy someone else's agenda. Do not draw to try to get approval or likes from people. In this world you will always have people who disagree with you, no one is going to have a fan base that is 100% with good people. Don't make drawing feel like a job, otherwise you will burn out of it and even leave it. Hope this helps out and Happy new year. PS: I personally really like the 'fight' comics you have done, specially the one with the 2 mantises.

honestly, this was the first ever Patreon i ever subscribed to and i have no regrets about it. Twitter has become such a cesspool of negativity that i distanced myself from it, even on my side account. it truly feels like if you aren't an asshole or don't draw/write fucked up fetishes, it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation when it comes to NSFW art (especially artistic nudity) if you're queer. i've seen artists, trans artists in particular, get harassed by others for daring to show different body types and positions to the point where they limited comments or don't interact with anyone outside their circle at all. that site breeds negativity because it rewards it; more negativity = more engagement. and i blame absolutely no one for not wanting to play that game anymore. i'm glad you're still here doing what you love, especially heading into the big 2025. all of your works are amazing and i look forward to see how the pilot for Monsters and Girls (new name incoming) turns out and i hope it becomes a huge success :) thank you for everything
