Love these shows.

Not a huge Kiss fan, but I loved this episode. I didn't know that the songs "Odyssey" and "The Oath were written by Tony Powers?
Tony
What happened with Tim? Is he OK?
Q Ross
favorite pod on Patreon. literally never heard a KISS album before this and now I’m hooked.

I'm blown away by the love for this album, so much that you all actually brought me around. Love KISS but only ever gave MotE a cursory listen, and apparently out of order for the story. TESD entertaining AND educating the masses.

Lots of episodes are filmed in advance. They talk about it very early on. Walt never wanted to be in a position where they couldn’t get an episode out for the week since we pay. You’ll notice it in other videos occasionally too.
Bryan Yacko
Walt's passion is infectious
Aaron
So happy to hear Tim again!!

"We changed the costumes and cut our hair, and I went along for the sake of consistency. The whole thing was ridiculous. When I see video of KISS performing songs from that album on television, trying to look so serious and self important, I don't know whether to laugh or cringe. Like I've always said, I'll try almost anything once, but if I had a do over, I'd take a pass on Music From The Elder. I think we all would, and the KISS Army would be grateful." Ace Frehley No Regrets/A Rock And Roll Memoir

Maybe. I know they record a bunch of episodes at a time because some guests are available as often. Like Tim and Frank 5. They may have had this saved but we’re putting out others first.

Great episode! This is my favorite series. Always great to hear more Tim as well
Jonathan Bloodworth
This is the fuckin best Patreon show. I grew up enjoying KISS more for the look than anything. Now I’ve got every goddam album and this is my favorite!
VikingJan
I noticed that too.
OperaNow! Podcast
Did Walt Miss speak as he sometimes does? Or was this recorded in 2023?
Jonathan Bloodworth

Gitem has to be the person taking the quest of the elders

Love it🤘🏼 love every pod! Walt Flanagan is god😇
Matthew Peterson
Favorite show on the Patreon, not even a kiss fan but I love the format and it's allowed me to give em a fair shot and appreciate some of their deeper cuts. Dug The Elder more than I expected, I love the prog elements but I agree with tim and Jeff that the first half especially bleeds together in a way that makes individual songs hard to look at individually. Second half is really solid though, Under the Rose got robbed
Daniel
Never gave the Elder a chance and much like the guys was surprised at how good it was. I join Walt’s campaign to change the perception of this album. Definitely not a skip week!
Bryan Hicks
Hell yeah! Been waiting for this one and it ended up being probably my favorite episode of the series! I had this when I was a kid and never gave it much play. But I bought it again in anticipation of this episode, and I'm totally on board with the Elderaissance. Like Walt, I wouldn't have minded another Ace song but that's really my only complaint. Great job, guys. Can't wait for the next one!
Casey Jones
I’ve never been a KISS fan, but will listen to these guys review and argue about anything.
Chad E Wilkison
I haven’t listened to The Elder in decades. Might have to give it another spin.
Mostly White
YES!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!
John Schisler
Kiss diaries- The unreal kisstory the elder. These are compilations of their audio books. This is the elder section. You guys should listen to them before you do your episodes.
Frank Buckley
Mr. Blackwell sounds like a revamped version of Gene’s horrid song Mongoloid Man. Takes me out of the song.
Ronald Nelson AKA MonkeyPaw
Why not do shows on other 70’s Rock bands ?
Frank Buckley
Hell yeah! Thank you Mr. Flanagan, you just made my workday a lot better.
Robert Sabella
I have been waiting a long time for this!
