That is why I suggested ending the Christmas pod with a plea to go and buy it on Bandcamp — even keeping it the same as the Patreon so it’s minimal extra effort — and trust the ants to do the right thing. We show up in droves when called and I think it’s sad that they don’t have faith in us any more.

It’s a little disappointing to see them lose faith in the ants. Why not keep the Christmas pod on Patreon as has become tradition — where nobody need worry about whether they could afford to pay more this month — and end it with a tearjerker moment that culminates in Walt lapsing into full carnival barker mode. I can almost hear him imploring the ants to buy the limited edition, pay what you want edition of the pod (which is the exact same pod, only with different cover art on Bandcamp). They never ask for anything (ha ha), and the ants rarely fail to report for duty in droves (for realz).
