Dude. I cried way too much during this episode. Between Peyton, and the Brook/Sam stuff, I was a mess.
I actually, cannot tell if Victoria was actually trying to be helpful in this episode. Even if she was though, I'm still mad at her. And even when she's trying to be 'nice,' she's still a bitch. I'm super pleased that Sam called her out on it. I'm used to Brooke doing it. I loved when Peyton did it. And now we can add Sam to that list.
But her agreeing to let Brooke adopt her when she really just wanted to spend time with her birth mom because Brooke has sacrificed so much for her, was heartbreaking. Really, every scene with Brooke and/or Sam was heartbreaking. I just hate that this is happening. I mean, I love it for Sam, but poor Brooke. She's trying to put up a good front so Sam knows this isn't her fault, but ugh.
And then we've got Peyton making a video for the baby in case she dies in child birth. And that was sad, but I think Luke and Jamie going through the box of stuff Peyton put together for the baby was even more emotional for me. I don't know what it was about this episode.
Also, I love the fact that Peyton's baby shower only had four people at it. (And, like, 200 presents, but still). It such an annoying pet peeve of mine they they throw a party on a show and all these people we've never seen before show up at it.
Nathan has an NBA scout come to his game. However, he's really playing up Nino (I think that's the guy's name) and not really showing off himself. Even after the coach reminds Nathan that the guys is here to see him, he still doesn't change his game. Afterwards, the coach says he hasn't heard from the scout and now we've just got to wait.
Plus, Luke and Peyton have decided to get married as soon as the doctor allows it. I'm thinking that with the last two episodes of the season, we might be getting their wedding, their baby, and Nathan's call up to the NBA. π€

Right?!? I cannot handle how much character growth he's seen. And it all seems completely believable. He went from zero to hero for sure.

Yep...this episode was James' directorial debut, and he knocked it out of the park, but it's not even his best work if you can believe, hehe. You'll get to see him shine behind the camera plenty more this series, so stayed tuned. The episode he directs in S7 is top notch for sure. An all-time favorite cinematic and story-wise episode, it's incredible, so you have so much to look forward to with this show. Joy shines behind the camera as well. She had her debut in 6x16, the episode they did the casting for Lucas' movie, and you'll get to see her plenty more over the series as well. Both Joy and James have a natural ability behind the camera as well.... just another reason they are so in sync together and it shines through on camera so much!!!

I'm kind of surprised for how good this season was. By S6 of a show with 22-24 episodes, things generally get kind of stale. But I'm really looking forward to this finale as well!

Dude. This was his debut? That's insane for how good it was. I was so emotional this whole episode. I've said it before, but I don't typically like watching kids on TV. They tend to be overly precocious or annoy me. But I'm super lucky right now. This kid is amazing. And the actor who plays Christopher on 9-1-1 is an awesome child actor as well. As much as I hate Victoria, it's so fun to watch her. It's always a treat when people are actually really morally gray characters because you can't tell where their motivations lie. I cannot believe how fast this show is going!

Yes...this was a super emotional episode and James Lafferty directed it. It was his directorial debut, and he nailed it. Of course he had good content to work with, but it was a seamless transition for him. I know he was happy to direct the basketball stuff he got to do, and the rest of it.... he just steps back and lets the actor's shine. He doesn't overthink it and get in the way of the process. He makes sure his ideas are formulated and fleshed out before they begin shooting. I too loved the Lucas/Jamie scenes together looking through Peyton's old box of keepsakes. It was a fitting day for an uncle and nephew to bond over. All of Jamie's questions were on par through the eyes of a 5-year-old, and I think Jamie really helped Luke find some perspective. Nathan too actually at the beginning, lol. And I do think that Victoria was trying to be helpful, but much like Dan she doesn't always go about it in the right way, and your left wondering what her true motives and intentions are...but in this case, I do think she's looking out for Brooke and doesn't want her to get hurt. And yes, the Brooke/Sam stuff is heartbreaking for sure. They always play so well off each other. With only two episodes left of S6....stay tuned to see how everything unfolds and turns out. We are super close to the end of this season and the start of S7......which is my favorite, hehe!!!!
