The Fosters 1X3: Hostile Acts
🕑 Added 2025-02-07 19:00:09 +0000 UTCOh I was totally wrong about Talya, wasn't I? In the pilot I really thought she was gonna be a nice girl, but each episode after, she's gotten worse.
So, after a chaotic morning in the house, where Brandon has to shower with cold water, his dad sort of unexpectedly tells him he could move in with him if he wanted to. And honestly, there are way too many people in that house for one bathroom. Some of those people need to shower at night. Brandon says he'll think about it.
But, once he broaches the subject with Stef, she immediately shuts him down and tells him there's nothing to think about; he's a child and he doesn't get a decision here. I wholeheartedly disagree. I think 16 is plenty old enough to decide which parent to live with. Not to mention, things really are stretched thin in this house.
The two of them argue about how Brandon never gets a say in things and mom always shuts everything down whenever he disagrees with her. However, she continues to claim they aren't having the conversation and he's not moving. So, he just up and storms out out the door. She threatens him, but he goes anyway. Once he's back, and they've both cooled off, they apologize and Stef tells him it is actually his decision to make.
After visiting with his dad, I think Brandon gets the impression that he's lonely, and he decides to move in with him. Talya is thrilled, as they never have any privacy. But, Callie is surprised, telling him it seems like he's really happy in the house. (At this point, Callie and Talya are playing this, who knows Brandon best game).
Even though, he's fulling planning on moving, at the least minute, he decides he can't and changes his mind. And I think I've already changed my mind about Mike. So Lena is telling Stef in this episode about how she has to swallow her feelings down, because this is about their son and what he wants. She needs to be happy with whatever he chooses. And then, when Brandon is at Mike's apologizing and telling him he can't move in, Mike doesn't need that pep talk. He understand immediately that this is about Brandon and what makes him happy. (Plus, he rented a damn piano. Come on.) And poor Brandon feels so guilting about changing his mind. And Mike just keep reassuring him that everything is fine.
Jesus stands up Lexi because Mariana doesn't want them to date. However, after Jesus finds out that Mariana is still talking to their birth mom, even after the way she treated her, he decides, screw it, and follows Lexi into the bathroom to make out. It sounds a little weird, but it wasn't, really.
Callie has been instructed to keep a journal and to write about a time she felt guilty. However, after writing, she discovers that the journal has been moved and accuses Mariana of reading it. I mean, she is the most likely suspect, but she denies it. They argue until Jude comes in and Callie then claims she might have been wrong and ushers Jude away. Always playing the protective sister. She ends up telling him she was so upset being she wrote about Liam.
Later, at a family movie night, Jude is trying to come up with bad guy names for a story. Everyone is shouting out names that they think sound evil, and Talya comes up with Liam, looking smug like, bitch, I was the one who read your journal. Talya, you're the bitch.
Oh, and Lena ends up changing one of Jude's answers on a test because if he got it wrong, there were gonna kick him out of school. So, you know that's gonna come back around at some point.

Me too. It was one question. I know we can get into a 'where do you draw the line' discussion, but I really don't mind that she did this. One question, vs a kid's emotional stability shouldn't even really be a question. I thought she was gonna be fine! That didn't last long. Lol.

sooo so happy Jude was able to stay at the school and even though I personally don't think faking one score is that big of a deal I 100% get why Lena would think otherwise because she is putting her job on the line by changing that one answer. I loved mike and Brandons scene always makes me emotional and also hope Brandons girlfriend gets booted of the airways.
