NEWS:
Guys, I was checking out some dates and I found out that EXACTLY one year ago, I posted the 0.6 of my game. So... I only did 4 updates in the game, this year.
This upset me a bit. I know that there were a LOT of new faces, new charsets, new battlers and all the characters had more than one expression, but even so, the “speed” of this development is not to my liking.
I know I removed the 12$ tier because I realized that I was unable to update every month(And I am not planning on bringing it back) but perhaps, if I cut down content and plan (Like, REALLY ahead) I may be able to get a new schedule.
Also, while I am VERY thankful for the support of my patrons, I planned that I would be making more than 120$ a month...
Unfortunately, numbers are not going up... I always notice some slightly increase when I post updates( obviously), but since I am unable to do so often... It ends up going down again.
So… Less income generates less updates that generate less income…
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Guys, if I am not making at least 500$ by the end of Diana’s Ch: 1 I am afraid I will have to quit it. I will probably start another project through, something with more H-content and less lore… I have to decide yet.
Why only Ch1? Because people paid 50$ for their scenes and they are going to get them.
CHANGES:
I also believe that announcing such a thing without trying something new, would be a little “Ah, screw it” on my part, so I decided to burn all my fuels in these next months…
Monthly RELEASE from now on! (god help us, I am already feeling the exaustion)
Why I think this time is possible? Well… Aside from the Israa path, this part of the story will re-use various things, so I don’t need to “wait” for anything to be drawn (aside form HCGs)…
THE PLAN:
January> Khannard path, first part.
February> Khannard path end.
March> Jack Israa path, first part.
April> Jack Israa path end.
May> Return to Mahr Haddad… Okay, I think this will take more than one (or perhaps two) updates, but all the facesets are done, so it will be smooth sailing (theoretically).
Little RANT:
I get upset because, since the game is free, and I WANT IT to keep being free, if every person that, let’s say, downloaded it on SVScomics pledged one dollar, I could literally put a lot more content and even abolish all others pledges. GRRR.
40000 people downloaded it. Come on.
Well, that comes from the freedom to pledge however you want, I guess. It’s annoying, even so.

I am really sorry guys. I hope everything get’s better, because I really enjoy developing this game. I thank you for all your support.
PS: If you have any suggestions about this situation, please leave it in the comments. I really appreciate suggestions in this regard.
PS2: I am done with the writing and I’ve done some battlers. Progress is okay.

It is simpler, but making this game in Renpy wouldn't be that simple. Making a travel/quest/inventory/combat system in Renpy would be counterproductive when all those things are already present in RPGMaker.

Like I said, you don't own anything to anyone. You tried this method of giving it for free, it didn't work. I don't see how anyone could blame you, if you change it.

I remember playing this game. I found it a little too rapey for my test(and the slutiness status gets on my nerves). I am sorry but I didn't really undesrtand the sugestion... You mean to say that I should focus more on coding? Or I should just do a ton-load of art?

True, but at least is something to look up to. I just have to decide on the type of releases after Ch1... No way I will keep releasing it for free if I decide to put on steam. Maybe a free prologue and Ch1 only?

Oh, yeah, there were a few porn games I've seen on Steam. They censor the sex scenes and then offer off-Steam patches to restore the juicy details. That's also an option. Yet seeing how much time you need to develop the game, you'll have to prepare for a couple of dry years before you have something to sell there.

The problem is that when you decide to add sexual content in your game, it WILL BE classified as porn independent of the rest of the content... So, it's really hard to describe. IF, and that's a big if, I decide to sell the full version, I was thinking of changing all the H-scenes to a shadow HCG... You are allowed to change your mind, and I wouldn't call it greedy if you had to put it on sale. Remember a free game is not free, it just means your passion and/or donations has paid for it!

I think what works is that he eventually outsourced his art and focused on the coding/storytelling with the end result of having a very big game. His story has a serious tone to it but lots of erotica here and there that are contextual so the players dont have a dry spell of naughty bits for long. I think this would be the best direction for you to go for.

Hey Stalker I'm really sorry to hear about your position but its true that subscriber's have not been climbing up in this game. A story based game that has elements of porn is going to be a hard sell to begin with when you compare to other games like Fenoxo's games and even Akabur, for the simple reason that porn sells. If I may suggest, I think its also RPGmaker thats the problem, have you considered shifting to Renpy? Maybe have a more story focused thing rather than a RPG game?

I expected such decision even earlier. It made me think you plan on cutting the sex content and selling the game on Steam when it's ready, to make up for the lack of support that way. Screw this thing about promising to give the game for free, if people aren't supporting you, you have to change your plans. You positioned your game very badly to begin with. The description of your page says that you're making Adult Games and the banner is a sex scene, so you're immediately pushing away the people who are not interested in this kind of material. Yet your game plays more like a traditional RPG with mature elements, than actual porn game. So the crowd you're left with is also not happy. They want brainless, cheap porn. Christ, I've seen people asking for a walkthrough for Visual Novels, where you literally have 2-3 meaningful choices. And authors claiming they have "a hidden scene", because on choice 2 you must select the second from TWO options. Zero gameplay, little to no story and a protagonist who shags his own family - this is where the money are (sadly). As it stands, you're forced to wrap things up and try something else. It's a bummer, but completely understandable.

I played some older version and liked the gameplay and lore parts a lot. But I dislike to play as female in porn stories, sadly those bits are unavoidable.

like this game for both lore and adult content the story is great but the game menus seem a bit complected like weapon upgrades you dont relly need and some like crafting is good but the story is great its the main reason why i pledged

Depends on the currency of your country. Some people may need more, some people may need less, either way I will change the frequency of the updates, so we will see.

Earning enough to make a living out of Patreon isn't really a realistic goal to begin with at your pace. You've said it yourself that the frequency of your update wasn't satisfactory. Monthly large update is pretty much a must if you want a bigger piece of the pie. The content needs to be more erotic also.

I've been following you and haven't pledged. Your game is what some may call "Adult game". It's not porn and therefore attract far less crowd. I like mature adult games but I prefer "per creation" model better than "per month". Having said that, some do it for money. Some do it for passion.

Lore based H-games will probably sell better as a complete experience, so you might think about selling your game on Nutaku, Steam, Itch.io after you have made it!
