So, again, Stef and Lena have terrible communication. I don't know what's going on with these two. Brandon tells his moms that he's thought it over and he's decided that he wants to go through with the surgery on his hand. He needs to be 100% to play piano and he's currently not. Stef then tells him that she and Mike have discussed it and they've decided it's too risky, so he can't do it Surprise, surprise, she hasn't mentioned any of this Lena, who is upset at, yet again, being left out of important conversations.
Later, Lena goes to tell Brandon that she doesn't agree with Stef and Mike. That it's his hand and his life, if he wants the surgery, he should be able to have it. Stef overhears this and is not happy that Lena just tried to undermine her. Lena is sick of not having a say, and tells her Brandon is old enough to know that they won't always agree on everything (you guys agree on very little).
Mariana gets Brandon to take a group of them to see her friend's band. Turns out, he knows the guitarist and he asks for some feedback after the show. Brandon gives good advice (at his friend thinks so), but the lead singer seems pretty offended that he'd critique them. When they get home, Brandon puts on some of their music and tries laying down some piano tracks to it. This is music he can do, classical, not so much right now. Stef and Lena come in and tell have they've discussed and they'd be willing to meet with a surgeon and get more info, but now Brandon has decided to hold out for a little while. (I'm sure most of this comes from Callie's earlier speech about why he'd give up on music entirely, just because he can't play classical right now).
Callie, meanwhile, finds out that the lawyer found Robert Quinn and is requesting a DNA test from Callie along with a paper that says she won't sue in order for him to relinquish custody. Of course, on the day of the test, Callie shows up and he does not. Afterwards, Callie finally googles him, and of course, it's the vanilla milk shake guy. He shows up at her work the next day and she confronts him about it. He claims he didn't know about her, and the DNA wasn't his idea, it was all his family's lawyers. He tells Callie as soon as he gets the okay from them, he'll sign the paperwork. But also, here's a letter, please read it. Turns out the letter is from her sister that she didn't know existed. She really wants to meet Callie and hopes that Callie wants the same.
At some point, Mike shows up asking if Stef is planning to try to get sole custody of Brandon (doesn't she basically already have that?) since she showed up asking questions about his sobriety to Dani. But, Stef is really just interested in whether or not got into the fight with Ana. He claims he hasn't seen her since Stef told him to stay away. It feels like he's lying. Maybe. But I don't know if he'd be able to this calmly cover up her murder. Although, maybe it isn't that he murdered it. It could he something else he's trying to cover up.
Plus, Jesus and Emma aren't getting along that well anymore. He seemed to like that she had this independent, self assured nature to her. At least until other people started to notice it and make comments about it. Then, all of a sudden, he can only seem to fixate on how 'bossy' she is. I think after this comment, she ends up breaking up with him. (This comes immediately after they were planning to have sex for the first time this coming weekend).
And Connor's dad won't let him sleepover at the Fosters'. Apparently, he think Jude is gay so he won't let Connor stay there. (It took me way too long to figure out why he thought that). Connor claims he knows that Jude isn't gay, it's just his dad being his dad. And when Jude asks him, what if he was gay, Connor doesn't really have an answer for that. Isn't this the same kid who painted his nails blue so Jude wouldn't get bullied about it? What happened to him?

I loved that you mentioned The Good Witch love that show and yes the girl in the picture who is meant to be Callie's half sister is the same actress as the main character from The Good Witch and both characters are played by Bailee Madison. Casting Bailee to play Callie's sister in the show is one of my favourite tv casting choices (along with Brooke and her mum in One Tree Hill that one was basically which craft is what i've decided on lol) because of how much they look alike and how they actually could pass as sisters in real life. Idk I just love it when casting is done as perfectly as this. Also keep an eye out on the band from this episode in future episode because Matt and the lead singer but more so Matt might have more regular appearnces in the show. Also yes Brandon should get a say in weather or not he gets the surgery because it's his money and his injury not theirs. Also love, love,love how much the relationship between Mariana and jude and Callie has grown because at first Mariana didn't even want to share rooms with Callie and now she doesn't want her to leave, and she is giving cute nicknames to Jude and spending tones of time with him and even offering to play with him when Conner couldn't come and just being an overall awesome sister to him and, it's just simply the best. Also i feel like Jesus only started to have a problem with Emma being "bossy" when others in his life like his family and his teammates starting teasing him about how he's becoming submissive and how he lets her order him around because i feel like if none of them would have said anything he wouldn't really care either but because they did it kinda got to him i feel. And because he is a teenager , those types of comments will get them more deeply than if he was a little older and heard the same comments. Callie's dad should just sign over the damm papers already becasue we all know all that talk about waiting for his attorney's approval before signing the papers although may be true is also just a way to manipulate Callie so he can spend more time with her which was especially obvious when he gave her a picture and letter from her sister inorder to manipulate her even more. Also fuck Conner's dad and his homophobia. And yes it was when they finished Baseball and conner was tying his shoes and Jude was just consoling him by rubbing his back but clearly the dad saw it differently decided to ban his son from ever sleeping over their again. And then people like him wander why men are afraid to show actual emotions and feelings if they think it's somehow gay to console your friend who was just frustrated about their performance after they were berated by their dad about it. Like i know Jude is questioning things regarding his sexuality right now but regardless of weather or not he ends up being straight, gay or inbetween it doesn't mean that him conforting his friend is gonna turn Conner gay like im sure his dad thinks it will. Like does his dad think that straight men are not allowed to confort their friends in their times of need and that, that is only reserved for gay men and that any straight guy that conforts their friend is automatically gay like the hell.
