Ugh. I wanna be so annoyed by this. I know it's TV and there was zero chance they were just going to hand me a Zoe and George relationship (and even, realistically, this is probably how it would play out), but I hate it.
So, we start with George showing up and telling Zoe that he had the best night of his life with her. And she agrees. But, then he follows that up with they should probably just be friends for right now since he's getting out of a 15 year relationship (lies). She agrees, but is not happy about it. She wants it to be her and George right now.
George and Lemon head the minister (reverend? pastor?) to tell them the wedding is off, but he convinces them to try couples therapy with him first. Lemon enthusiastically agrees; George not so much. He gets talked into it, but he's not happy about it. After a few sessions, he's ready to do be done, but the religious guy convinces him to just to the Battle of Bluebell to see if that helps re-strengthens their bond.
BB is certain that by doing it, it'll bring them back together and he'll lover her and want to marry her again. Zoe overhears this, and decides she'll enter to and that will prove to George that she wants to fight for him. (This makes zero sense to me, but Zoe is so sure that George will understand that her teaming up with Wade is all about him). Wade, meanwhile, thinks Zoe is finally into him. It's sort of a mess.
During the battle, Lemon is happy she and George are working so well together and winning. George tells her it's because he wants to finish quickly so he can be done with her. They get into a fight and he tells her he kissed Zoe. She tells him she forgives him. He gets even more upset and snaps the fishing pole telling her there relationship is broken. He stalks off to tell the judge they are out of the race.
Before he gets there, Zoe approaches him and tells him she lied. She doesn't want to be friends. She wants to be together. And she knows this is all new for him and she'll wait as long as he wants, but please, please do not get back with Butter Bitch. Wade overhears this and realizes she was just using him.
However, Lemon, determined to win the battle, has scaled the church and is terrified of falling. George ends up heading up to save her. And afterwards grabs the fish. The two of them seem pretty happy. They are smiling and hugging.
Later, George heads over to Zoe's to tell her about it, but she cuts him off. She tells him she understands. She saw the display at the church. He admits he still loves BB. Ugh. Why? Fucking why? Why would anyone love her? Let alone the two best guys on the show. I do not understand her appeal.
Oh, and Zoe convinces Rose's mom to let her go on a date. During the date, Rose ends up with appendicitis. And for whatever reason, Rose's mom blames Zoe for. She's like, 'You told me she would be fine on this date.' Lady. If she had appendicitis, she's going to get it anywhere. If she were home with you studying, still would have happened. I so don't get people.

Agreed. I was okay with okay with it last episode because George seemed to be in it with her. But then when he said he needed some time, she gave him, like, an hour and then pounced. As much as I hate it, it is still a 15 year relationship. He's not going to be over it in a day.

Love Zoe but these 2 episodes I feel like she was doing wayyy to much. Going away with George the second he ends things with Lemon then this entering the race for George at Wade’s expense even with Lavon telling her how Wade feels. George should pick Zoe on his own not with Zoe begging him not to choose Lemon. I’m counting down the days until the finale I can’t wait to see your reaction!
