🕑 Added 2025-06-11 18:00:08 +0000 UTCI don't know how I feel about Stef and Lena. It seems like the show is trying desperately to convince that they love each other, but I just don't really see it. There are so many issues and problems with this relationship. Eventually, they spend one conversation on stuff and are 'good' for like two days until the same issues keep popping up.
Anyway, Callie keeps showing up at Juvie trying to see AJ, but he refuses to put her on the list. He's still pissed that they got arrested, I assume. Finally, Callie shows up and she's been approved. But, it turns out, she's come to see Ty in hopes that he'll talk to AJ and convince him to stay with Mike until Ty gets out. (At least I think that's what she's implying).
Mariana accusing Lena of having an affair with Monte. Apparently, someone made a gif of them and it's making the rounds on Twitter. Lena assures her it's not true and tells her to ignore it. At that moment Monte calls her, and both Stef and her mom see the caller ID. She doesn't answer, but it's still an awkward moment.
At school the next day, Lena questions Monte if she made the gif. Monte says no and Lena apologizes and says she's stressed about Stef (who is having surgery next week for the double mastectomy). She starts crying and she and Monte talk a little bit about it. (What happened to the two of you not being friends, Lena?). Anyway, while they are having this conversation, Stef shows up to talk to Lena about the power of attorney. However, when she sees the two of them locked up behind closed doors, she bails.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I kind of think it's possible for Monte to have sent out that gif. We know she wants to be Lena. We also know that she knows they are having a tough time in their relationship right now. She might think this would drive Lena to her as Stef would be upset with it. I don't think that happened, but I do think it's entirely possible.
Jude's weird friend Jack has been getting beaten up at his group home. Callie, Jude, and Justina have an intervention for him. She promises if he can survive one more night at the group home, she can get him out the following day. And it will be somewhere safe this time. Callie questions that as she claimed she had nothing to do with Jack's placement. She covers quickly, but she's lying. What is up with this woman? Either way, when Jack shows up the next day, he's got a broken arm. However he wants to stay in the group home now, as the guys are all treating him like gold so he doesn't tell on them. Jude is confused and Justine says something like, 'Some people don't want to be saved.' This woman is trash.
Elsewhere, Jesus finally comes clean with Gabe. He tells him that he's his son, and Gabe immediately tells him that legally, he can't be anywhere near him and needs to get away from him. I assumed Ana had a restraining order against him. But later, Mariana looks him up online and finds out he's a registered sex offender. I had to go back and watch later, because I thought I saw somewhere that the website claimed they weren't sure, but on re-watch, it definitely says he had lewd or lascivious acts with a minor. I'm wondering if it's not as bad as we think. Like maybe he was 18 and his girlfriend was 17. He pissed off her parents and they claimed he raped her or something? This seems a little dark, even for this show.
Brandon is getting closer to bartender/surfer girl. However, she tells him that things are complicated and neither of them are over their exes. Brandon tells her that complicated is okay. And then he finds out she has a two year old kid. Talk about complicated.
Stef and Lena tell the kids about her breast cancer and their plans. It goes just fine. But I'm still stuck on that conversation they had in the dining room about how Lena loves her. And it has nothing to do with what she looks like. I'm sure that true, but we don't see enough of that from these two. I know their lives are busy and complicated, but it would be nice to see them have a healthier relationship.

I think I'm just so over the communication issues between the two of them. You're right. They have very different styles of how to communicate. Also, I didn't really think about it, but I like the new Jesus too!

Stef and Lena definitely love each other. But they are both selfless so they dont make it clear what they need and lena always wants to talks things out to much versus stef who doesn't love to talk would rather just move on and try to be happy. Also new Jesus is so much better I can actually feel emotion.
