So, Zoe's mom is in town and she's freaking out about how she's going to keep her mom busy so she doesn't have to be alone with her. Apparently, all her mom does is judge and criticize her and she's just not up for it. However, while mom is a little nit picky, generally, she's totally fine. Even when Zoe is coming with with bizarre lies about the town.
By the end, her mom does finally confront her and Zoe confesses that she does actually really like her life in BlueBlue. She likes being a GP. But her love life is a mess. She then admits to her mom that she was sort of dating Wade and she misses him. Her mom doesn't really get it, but wants her to be happy. So, Zoe heads over and asks Wade if they can give it a chance for real. I was so nervous he was going make a joke about it, but he seemed to be all in immediately. Phew. I didn't realize how excited I'd be for this until it happened. I really thought I was just sort of waiting around for her and George to get together, but both she and Wade are unhappy when they aren't together, so maybe I like this?
Lavon, meanwhile, is busy trying to give Ruby the best BlueBell Christmas ever so that she'll consider moving back her. But she and Lemon are still all snippy and bitchy with each other. Lavon ends up asking Lemon to please reach out to Ruby and try to be friendly. For him. She agrees and invites Ruby to wrap presents dressed like an elf. And when Ruby asks her why would she want to do that, Lemon tells her because Lavon would like her to, so she agrees.
However, Ruby can't resist taking shots at Lemon about how she and Lavon are so happy and in love and they have all this history and Lemon got left at the alter. And finally, Lemon snaps and insinuates that she and Lavon for in love once too. I don't think she meant to do this, but a girl can only take so much.
While this is going on, Lavon is busy setting up a proposal for Ruby (blech), so when she finds him, he excitedly tries to get the event rolling. But she insists they talk about how he was in love with Lemon. He tells her it's old news and not important right now and tries to propose, but she wants to talk about Lemon. He finally just drops to his knee and proposes and she stalks off.
He finds her at her house and they decide it's better to break up now since they both know neither of them is willing to move for the other. Amen.
Lavon is miserable about it though. He goes to confront Lemon and blames her for the break up. She feels awful and apologizes profusely. She really didn't mean for this to happen. But Lavon is too hurt to accept. He tells her he'll never forgive her for this and storms out.
Ugh. This is really gonna push back the timeline to Lavon and Lemon getting together, isn't it? Sigh.

Ahhhhhhh. I am so happy Zoe and Wade finally got together. loved how unexpenctantly happy you were when they got together in that final scene. I knew you would come around to the posibility of them and see how happy they make eachother. I feel for Levon and that this must be sad for him but he will make it through and I hope he is able forgive Lemon soon espically once he realises how much Lemon has been hurting seeing him with Ruby and how she still has deep feelings for him. Love how far our girl Lemon has come as a person.
