Russia-Ukraine SITREP for 02 SEP 2022 23:59* PDT - Hey Everyone! We Have Nukes!

What's the big story? It has been zero days since the Kremlin reminded the world that the United States is pressing for war, and the Russians have nuclear weapons, and they'll use them, gosh darn it! Oh, as an added bonus, there were renewed threats against Moldova.
The second story? Russia does this when things aren't going the way the Kremlin wants. While the Ministry of Defense declares the Ukrainian counteroffensive already over, they are rushing equipment and personnel out of the Donbas, swinging nuclear weapons around like a drunk, rich, spoiled 15-year-old waving a pistol in the street, and using every available means to try to get ANY supplies over the Dnipro. But trust us, it's all going to plan.
Exhausted editor's note - two things. One, disinformation from the Kremlin is ridiculous now. Use trusted sources. Don't even go there, you'll make yourself crazy. It is a major reason why the report is so late tonight. The information environment is frustrating and full of the fog of war. Look at the macro picture, not the small reports.
Second, you must have noticed a shift in editorial tone. We're trying to balance being a voice in writing and for the podcast. If you think we're going out of bounds, don't speak out with your wallet; speak out with your comments and messages. We're looking for a new line where we are still balanced as possible (yes, because of global security and the idea that fascism is bad, we want Ukraine to win), but the podcast is a bit more - spirited. To achieve that, we're making the Situation Report a bit more - spicy.

The snark is always well timed and placed in my opinion and I greatly appreciate it
A point of clarification - we will absolutely continue to report both sides. We will ALWAYS treat war crimes, human rights issues, and combat activity with reverence and respect. You will see an increase in snark (this report is a solid example) when it comes to geopolitical issues or when either belligerent says or does something that is just so obviously out of bounds. Oh, and there is no snark in, "Our favorite FSB Colonel, wanted war criminal, and Kremlin pariah," that is Igor "Girkin" Strelkov's official title.
I'm here for it.....ukraine is why I joined patrion, but I love all the work that's posted on here. I'm in the UK and reading about global, and also USA news and history is good for my all round geopolitical knowledge, and I just love all history and politics. I'm a local Councillor in my constituency and I listen to a tonne of bullshit daily. THIS IS NO BULLSHIT If you gain and lose patrions during this war so be it, but let it be known I'm here to support Mr M and his hard work and balls to just throw everything at something he is passionate about.
