Hart of Dixie 2X15: The Gambler
🕑 Added 2025-08-28 21:13:31 +0000 UTCI was kind of shocked at the end of this episode when Tansy didn't tell Zoe that Wade left with another girl (That's not his ex, right? It's just some random girl?) Also, I kind of want a zombie flashmob proposal. (Ignore the fact that I've been happily married for 21 years. Lol.)
Okay so, Wade is desperate to win the Battle of the Bands. And he's sure he's going to. He thinks his band is awesome and invites Zoe, George, and Tansy to come watch one of the rehearsals. But, it turns out, Zoe and George hate it (seems like Tansy thought it was okay though). I didn't hate it. But, I happen to listen and enjoy a lot of hard rock and metal. But, it definitely would be an acquired taste.
Since Wade is banking on the prize money to help him open the bar, it's very invested in winning. So, Zoe thinks it 's best if she and George tell him Meatball is no good. George thinks it's a bad idea since he's so excited and into it. But Zoe insists. So they come up with this ridiculous plan for George to take Meatball's place so they have a singer who can actually sing. But, Wade doesn't go for it. He tells Zoe that she just doesn't know good music and that's okay.
Right before the battle starts, Zoe apologizes for not supporting him gifts him a neon sign that says Wade's Place (or Bar, I can't exactly remember). It seems like the sheer pressure of it all gets to Wade and when Zoe has to leave to tend to a horse attacked Tom, Wade drowns himself in booze. George tries to snap him out of it, but right before he goes on, he fires George and pulls Meatball up with him.
Zoe is stuck tending to Tom (and then getting pulled into the best proposal in the world), then she gets lost on her way to the battle, so she doesn't get there until the show is over, and Wade's taken off with another girl. (He decides he sucks and he should just be the low life he knows he is). George and Tansy tell her he's left, but not that he's left with someone. (Speak up Tansy!)
Elsewhere, AB is desperate to be friends with Lemon again, so she tracks her phone so she can run into her everywhere she is. It's not making things better. (Although, it does seem like she wants to help Cricket with her decorating). But she's so desperate to cling on to Walt because she's so lonely that she holds to hard and he ends up breaking up with her.
Lavon is trying to claim he's done with love and romance, but helping Tom plan his proposal to Wanda, shows him that's not true. He heads over to Annabeth's and tells her that he really thinks they've got something. He understands about her and Lemon's girl code, so he's willing to wait.
And then we get to my favorite part of the episode. Tom has been planning a proposal for Wanda with Lavon's help. But, Lavon overhears her tell someone that Tom is setting up a proposal in the square and it's a terrible idea. So he rushes to Tom to tell him. But then, someone drags him to the square and we see that Wanda, and a ton of people made up like zombies, have taken over the square. There's an awesome zombie flashmob to a song I don't know (but it's pretty upbeat and doesn't match zombies, which makes it better in my opinion). It finishes with Wanda proposing to Tom. He responds by pulling out his own engagement ring. It's really pretty perfect. It's cheesy and ridiculous. But so are the two of them.

Loved, loved, loved Tom and Wanda's proposal to echother it was soo weird in the best way possible and the song that you liked but didn't know that was playing during Wanda's proposal is a favourite of mine is a song by the legandary Dolly Parton who sang it with Kenny Rogers and is called "Islands in the stream" and I truly highly ecourage you check it out it's amazing. I do empathise with where Wade is coming from on his insecurities with trying because he think's he is gonna fail anyway so why try so instead he self sabatages when things look to be heading up because he doesn't truly believe that he is lucky enough to succeed in life becasue sadly I also struggle with the same fate but I also know that Zoe is gonna be soo hurt when she finds him with that women he went home with and don't wan't her to have to experiance or go through that heartbreak and don't think I will be able to handle seeing her heartbroken. And with Levon, Lemona and AnnaBeth at this point I emphasize and feel for all 3 of them and truly don't know which one I wan't Levon to be with. And as much as i love Annabeth's determination to get her best friend to forgive her again, I think she needs to just give it a bit more time.
