I wonder what it's called when one side is at total war (Ukraine) and the other isn't (Russia)? My understanding of Total War is a conflict where both sides are using their entire arsenals for wage war - Russia as yet (and probably won't ever) hasn't deployed nuclear weapons. Although I do firmly believe that this is a war that puts the very survival of either party at stake should they lose.
