I had to chuckle when you took offense at the A-10 as outdated which is my favorite plane as well. When i read what the defense minister said, i thought, "Wait just a minute there, mister!". I saw one at an air show many years ago and i was so amazed by it that I actually got choked up. We built a 30mm gatling gun firing depleted uranium shells and thought, hey maybe we could build a plane around this thing!! Just so quintessentially American. No other country could have built it and no other country would WANT to build it. Go warthog
