What is Waifu Hunter?!

Hey Waifu lurker!
I think you guys have noticed the little TV spot about -Wait Hunter- in Waifu Academy... It's not a fictional thing invented just for the game, but a real and ambitious project planned for 2019.
First I want to be clear with you guys, I will finish Waifu Academy before any released content of -Waifu Hunter- , you don't have to worry about that I'm only working on Waifu Hunter to explore new things and to step away from Waifu Academy universe... As a creative it's something necessary or I'll get bored.
Let's talk a bit about -Waifu Hunter- in the grand line...
- While the game shares an adjective with a previous title, I must stress that it shares nothing else with the other entry (except maybe some funny cameos).
- In Waifu Hunter, you'll play a skilled warrior that can be sometimes be a bit of perv', but has a heart of gold. Well, not gold... maybe aluminum. (Do you know Ryo Saeba from City Hunter...? Voiced by ol' J. Chan? He's sort of like that, minus the Kenshiro mullet and voice acting talent.)
- You work as a bounty hunter, knocking heads and doing God's work. One day, your job will run in a more lewd and lucrative direction as you go about your travels, and it is up to you how exactly to deal with this change.
- The game will be a RPG using Ren'py, with a battle system implementing one of the most classic of mechanics: clothing damage (Stripping waifus everywhere! Not without consent, obviously. That would be impure.)
- As you battle along defeating enemies, you will meet some new Waifus along the way! (Monster girls of all kinds: Demons, Elves, Amazons, and who knows? Maybe there will be a human or two, just for exclusivity purposes. Although, I know at least one person will say Amazons are human, but not in my world, son.)
- After being defeated or pacified, those Waifus can be added to your party, or they can work at your farm, which you can micro-manage to your heart's content! Meaning you will always have some content to play around with while waiting the next story update.
- The game will be more of a sandbox than a VN, but will surely keep the quality storytelling showcased in Waifu Academy. No worries, I won't skimp! (Since the plot, characters, setting and whatnot are all made from the ground up, the narrative should tie together nicely, even if you get Witcher-like wanderlust.)
- The game will have a lighter tone than the last one: it's not a story about revenge, after all... So, this will allow for both the freedom of morality, as well as the (curated) freedom of plot progression. This will include a map movement and the line, as I want the game to be less a routine than than the previous.
Patreon wise I will need your support more than ever since the game is very ambitious in feature term... So I will probably have to recruit several people to help me.
The -V.I.P- rank will have more slots so you guys could request a lot more Waifu.

LOL :) misclick... 1. Keep up good comunication with comunity here, on discord and forum, many creators forget how important that is in long term. 2. Keep your games full of kinky stuff, that is something that makes you stand out from the crowd. 3. Waiting for more of your work, especialy WA ;)

The artwork looks amazing. Not keen on RPG maker, but it can work, and I love Waifu Academy's artwork and story so I trust this will be good as well.

The game will still have no grind you know, the combat will be a way to strip the girl from your team or your oponent. The special attack will be sometime goofy or sexy, the game will not be like some bad RPG maker games with random encouter every 3 step to waste your time, don't worry.

Sounds great, I’m looking forward to this project! I just don’t like crazy monster girls like half spider- or half snake-women. I also hope that it won’t get too dark with its brothel theme. Otherwise I totally support this idea :)

I like the idea i just want to be more free to roam unlike waifu academy where we are forced to follow a certain path. But i fully support you and hopefully we can move around a bit more.

I do not like the effort of fighting, or any game type scenario to get to the next scene, . Not big on Dungeons and Dragons either. Sorry not particularly appealing for me. I really like the current theme, Young schoolgirls and so many opportunities, however I can understand your need to create different styles of games , all the best.

I can't use 3D I would need a Studio of 30 people and millions to make a full 3D game running in real time with the engine I use. It will still be 2D with 3Dart, similar to Waifu Academy. But the user interface will have direction choise (left, forward, right, backward) and area to explore.

I know the meaning of Waifu isn't the best for this type of game but it's also the case for Waifu academy... Still Waifu is a term used by people to point love interest and more and more in a lewd sense. It's not my faut ^^ Also I choosed to keep the word Waifu because it's now almost my mark, it's easy to remember etc, it's just a title he need to be catchy not to have much sense.

It looks good but we're reeeeally stretching the "waifu" term here to the point where it loses all meaning. Is this your brand now? Because it's such an obnoxious term to begin with, seems like a weird word to hang your hat on. Take a poll if that's the case, I can't be the only one who isn't a fan of the word. Honestly, given the choice, I'd be all for you calling everything "academy" instead if you wanted to brand stuff, like "Monstergirl Hunting Academy." And then don't feature a school at all. :D

I support this but I can't really give a definite answer since I will want to see a demo first. But I like the idea. And seeing how I like the storytelling in Waifu Academy, I'm sure I will like this game as well. Also, are you planning for a 3d game or a 2d game?

I dig the sound of this. I'm a big fan of sexy monster girls and a game with some of that will have me throwing money at you =P. Over all I like the sound of your idea as well. I also like that you say it will be light, so there won't be anything horrible done to the girls. I don't like abuse so much. Anyways, I'm all in!
