It is highly unlikely. Captured Russian munitions and serial number information on cruise missiles and bombs consistently show they were recently produced. Russia is firing what it can build at this point. We do believe that Russia is building an inventory of cruise missiles for something bigger. Outside of that, we have not seen the Russian Ministry of Defense play 3D Chess, metaphorically speaking, in their military planning.
Is it possible russians stockpile anti tank weaponry, and prepare positions with it and anti-tank artillery to shut down the counter offensive quickly and freeze the conflict? It seems that Ukrainian offensives strongly relies on armor to do gains. I know it would be shocking to let troops die now without required munitions, but this is far from being the worst thing they consciously did. Soviet and russian leadership strongly believe in ends justifying means, and sacrificing mobiks or just killing innocent people not a moral dilemma. Don’t take that into consideration as awful as it may sound.
