XBLAH's Modding Tool v2.2.3
🕑 Added 2024-01-25 00:03:57 +0000 UTCThis update brings a new feature both for GoldSRC and Source modders alike: The WAD to VTF/VMT converter! Select a WAD file, and it will convert the file to VTFs and VMTs, and place them in the correct directory in your mod.
Keep in mind this is feature is still in alpha. What works so far:
- All images are converted to Lightmapped VTFs and the VMTs are generated.
- Blue transparency is converted to alpha transparency.
What still needs to be done:
- Merge animated images into a single VTF.
- Convert water images to Water VMTs.
- (anything else? let me know)
This update also fixes some issues in the programming dashboard, as well as add a "Rebuild Solution" button.
Thank you all for supporting the development of this tool. Let me know your ideas of what should I work on for the next update.
The update should be applied seamlessly. If you don't have the tool yet, you can download it here:

Oh, sorry to hear about this. I'll take a look. Might be a new bug when I ported it from an individual window to a tab.

The soundscape editor has a bug where it never finds the sounds after opening the soundscape file, even if it was made correctly using the soundscape editor originally. this also results in the soundscape file itself getting all the sound paths erased if you save, which breaks it. additionally its not possible to edit the min/max time values on playrandom- it just keeps reverting to default 1s
